Minot State Fair Weekend

Last weekend Barb and Kim gave Brett and I tickets to the Blake Shelton concert at the State Fair, we were very excited because not only do we love his music, we love fairs=fair food. We both got off work early and drove to Minot, as the day went on Brett kept telling me he had a surprise, which makes me crazy because I always want to know everything!
So we went to the concert and had tons of fun, had to wait till the very last song for our favorite song, which always happens, but it was fun being together at the concert and singing together. We had a blast and we're so thankful Barb and Kim let us go !
After the concert was over we ate our junk food :) Footlong corndogs and caramel apples, it was delicious, it's probably a good thing the fair only comes once a year because I would be a junk food addict if it didn't! Anyways, we sat around and watched Karaoke, which is hilarious. We both get very entertained by watching those, haha we have some interesting singers in this world. Sadly, Brett's surprise wasn't singing Karaoke to me but he kept saying how much I was gonna love his surprise. But the fair ended and still.. no surprise! So I was guessing it would be something back at the trailer, so we stopped at a gas station and went the "long way"(through town) and Brett promised he'd tell me the surprise when we got to Walmart, at the end of town, so I waited and waited, and al of a sudden Brett tells me to put a blindfold on, what?? We weren't even to Walmart yet!
So I put my jacket over my head and we got to our destination, he walked me a few steps and told me I could take my jacket off my head and when I did we were checking in to the SplashDown Water Slides Hotel! I was so excited because we had been wanting to do this for weeks.
It was so nice to sleep on a king size bed and take a real shower! The next morning after a yummy breakfast, we went swimming for a few hours, the water park ended up being something for kids, but we're still kids, just in big people bodies so we had tons of fun together!
We played Arcade games and watched the new Ice Age movie, which was hilarious, we were laughing the whole time! After the movie, we ran home because somebody hadn't prepared her Sunday School lesson yet. On the way home Brett had another surprise... we pulled off and parked, and there it was... the most beautiful sunflower field! The sunflowers were huge and the sunflower field went on for miles! I was so happy, I'm so blessed! I have the best husband who always wants to make me happy, even if it means we have to drive half way to Minot to see some sunflowers(which are my favorite). I'm so blessed. We're so blessed and we're loving life. it really can't get better than this! :)
