Yellows, oranges and reds!

Last friday didn't start as such a great day, I was still sick and feeling miserable and a series of unfortunate events were really getting me down. When Brett got home from work he looked at my outfit and said, let me see what you're wearing and looked me up and down, he then decided that was an appropriate outfit as he said "We're going on a hike!"
It was really spontaneous but it made me very excited so we got in the car and drove up Logan Canyon, and...oh my goodness, it is BEAUTIFUL outside right now. If you haven't gone on a hike or on a walk up the canyon, you are missing out, so go now! It is so beautiful :)
Well, we start driving in to the hike parking area and a car was in our way...and guess who it was? Wes and Micah! It was so random but we absolutely love spending time with those two! So we all decided to go on a hike together. Me being worried about everything like I always am told Brett I wasn't wearing the appropriate attire to go hiking so he opened the trunk and voila! There was a bag of clothes, firewood, camp chairs, a cooler and more, so guess what we were doing tonight?! CAMPING!
I was so excited because I had told Brett I wanted to go camping when we got back
to Utah but we had never gone due to me being sick and us being busy with life!
I was so happy he planned a little weekend get-a-way for us.
So we hiked Spring Hollow and it was so gorgeous. The colors are perfect, this is one of my most favorite times of the year. I always tell Brett we should have gotten married at this time, I mean just imagine the beautiful pictures! It was fun hiking with Wes and Micah and chatting about anything and everything.
After the hike we said our goodbyes and Brett and I found a spot to camp at. It was so much fun, we cooked hot dogs for dinner and had yummy s'mores. We then cuddled up in our sleeping bags and went to sleep, in the morning we ate peaches and went on a run, it was so beautiful and perfect. We love nature, this was the best date, but it didn't end there because Brett decided we should hike up the mountain and go exploring!
I love going up in the mountains and being surrounded by nature, there's nothing that gives you perspective like that. I love that I married a man who loves me and loves nature just as much as I do and who will do anything to see a smile on my face.
It was the best weekend getaway and we feel so blessed to live in a place where we can see so much beauty. FALL IS BEAUTIFUL, and we hope you are all enjoying it as much as we are!
xoxo Le and Brett
