Happy Birthday To Me!

To all of you who are blessed to be alive! Brett reminded me that in Alice in

Wonderland they celebrate UNbirthdays...so basically, it's your birthday too!

Today was mostly like any other day, although it's supposed to be better than the rest

because it's my birthday right?

Well today is the anniversary of many things in my life. This time last year I decided to

stop people pleasing and start living the life I've always wanted to. This time last year my

mother got a new man in her life who is now my step dad... Yep, I'm still processing that one.

Two years ago around this time, my parents got divorced. I've been feeling pretty weird lately.

So many big things have happened around my birthday the past few years.

Many wonderful things have happened also, I got engaged almost two months ago and valentines day

 is always a week before my birthday! That's always a plus :)

Today as I was contemplating my now 19 years of existence... I realized that I am blessed.

I have reason to be happy and reason to consider this day special. I've had hard times these

 past few years but I have decided today to enjoy life's little blessings.

I'm blessed because I have and always will have my best friend by my side. I'm engaged

 to the most perfect man for me. He loves me and wants to conquer the world for me.

Brett will always be my biggest blessing and will always make me happy, no matter the weather.

I'm blessed because I have a family who loves me, who wants whats best for me and best of all

 I have a new family who loves and accepts me for who I am and makes me so happy! A family who has taken me in and wants whats best for me and Brett.

I'm blessed because I have friends who will do anything for me and make my life easier. Who will do anything to make me laugh, and I can always count on. 

I'm blessed with the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. All I really need is the knowledge that

God loves me and listens to my prayers and I have reason to be truly happy every single day.

There are so many reasons today is a great day. Although it's been hard I can find happiness.

And that's what I love about life. This truly is the plan of happiness, because where ever I look

 I can find something I'm truly grateful and happy about even amid the trials. :)

Life is beautiful. Every single day...We can't forget that!
