Love and Hate Relationship

         It's been two weeks and it feels like we've been here a lifetime! :) North Dakota, what a crazy adventure. If someone would of told me a year ago I would of ran off and gotten married and moved to North Dakota to live in a trailer, I would of laughed my butt off. But here we are, and honestly we wouldn't want to be anywhere else! This is definately a life changing experience and one we don't want to end any time soon, that being said just like any place it has its up's and down's.... so here is our list!

What We Love About Parshall, ND:
* How gorgeous it is.
No there are no mountains or beaches, but it is beautiful. Definitely a different beautiful than I'm used to, but Iwelove all the ponds and lakes. We love the beautiful farm land everywhere and the yellow crops always make us smile! The sunsets here are amazing!! The sun doesn't set till around 10:45 and we love watching the sunsets together!

*Cute baby animals.
There are farms everywhere! I have recently found myself freaking out at how cute calf-lings and horses are! They are everywhere, and just make me feel like a little girl again. We also have ducks everywhere, they have become my new favorite animal! It is the cutest thing to see all the different kinds of ducks and little ducklings.

*Our Branch.
I have never been to a branch before, but Brett was so excited to be part of it. It's tiny, probably 30 people in sacrament meeting! There was 4 of us in relief society, one was the teacher. Only 2 kids in primary and a bunch of men! It's so much fun though, the members are so loving and welcoming!

*Our jobs.
I work at the only cafe in town and it's so much fun. I've always wanted to work in a little cafe and have a bunch of regulars come in. Brett loves that he is actually working for his money. He loves doing something. He's working construction 5 days a week!

*Being on our own.

*Barb and Kim
We love our Ma and Pa out here, they're always looking out for us!

What We Don't Love
* All the swearing, drinking, smoking and tattoos.
We live where the oil boom is, so lots of rough men out here. But the women swear just as much. I guess we're not used to hearing such things where we live, we just hope we never get used to it. And hopefully people will notice we don't party and swear and they will ask us why :)

* Being away from family.
As much as we love that we're in our own little world, we wish family was closer! We always say how we wanna be here forever and the only thing that needs to happen for that, is for our families to move out here with us :) *hint hint*

*Cold showers.
For those who have ever stayed in a camper know what I'm talking about. You turn the water on and get your body yet, then turn it off and wash. Then turn it on and off, on and off until you are done! Hah all to preserve the hot water.

*Ticks
Brett works on the fencing crew and he comes home with at least 5 on him and guess who gets the pleasure of taking them off? Yeah, me. It's glorious.

*The heat.
Try being inside a hot trailer all day. Not fun.

 We do love it out here and it's been quite the adventure! We are so blessed to be where we are and know the people that we do! Life is good! It's oh so good! :)
