Father's Day Weekend!

It was a very busy week at our house and an even busier weekend! We kicked off the weekend with dinner with the missionaries on Friday! Brett told them we were having Brazilian food so I went all out! It was my first time making all that food without my Mom telling me exactly how to make it, I was so proud of myself!
I made Feijoada, fried bananas, farofa, the whole ordeal! The missionaries loved it but I think Brett loved it
more than anyone else! He was so happy eating a big plate of it, it's so easy to please him! :)
After taking the missionaries home we stopped at the Summerfest for a little while! All I wanted was Churros filled with Doce de Leite and there weren't any! I was so disappointed! But it was fun, we met up with Nate and Morgan Needham. Nate was Brett's trainer on the mission and we love that we live so close to them! Brett's friend Aaron was in town so they had a little bros night, they went to Superman for Aaron's birthday. It was a long night! :)

Saturday- Brett got up and made me M&M's pancakes then we rushed around to go shooting. We went shooting up at Zanavoo with Bryce, Shay (Brett's co worker) his wife, Nate and Aaron! It was fun. Brett loves shooting, I had never even thought of it as fun until I met him. They brought me earmuffs so I was golden! I even shot the shotgun and hit a couple pigeons! Woo-hoo! It was so cute to see Gabriel all excited everytime someone would shoot something! He is such a boy! It's just so cute! After shooting we headed to First Dam for a little BBQ. It was super chill! After that I wanted to go straight home and take a nap, this pregnant mama can get pretty bugger if she's tired but we spent the time at Walmart and the DI running around! We got home and made Mousse de Limao for Rosi's festa Junina! We also got all dressed up, it was so funny. Nate and Morgan came to the party with us and so did Syd and his wife. It was fun, everyone loved that Brett was dressed up! He was the only guy that dressed up haha

After that we went Night Fishing with the Needhams and Syd and his wife. It was pretty fun. We didn't catch anything! Did you know Catfish like stinky bait? I guess they can smell it better when it hits the bottom! Anyways, our group caught a couple of fish but they were all tiny! It was super cold but it was a fun night! We ended the night at Beto's, and after saying I never get sick from there.. I spent my night puking. I think there was too much late night partying for this pregnant mama.

Sunday- Sunday morning I surprised Brett with his favorite breakfast, biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon! He loved it! I also surprised him with a big picture of the Logan Temple! We sang a musical number with a big group of people in our ward, I love singing with Brett! Church was good. After church we had dinner with Bryce, Aline, BrinDee and Aline's mom. It was yummy! We then came home and hung out. We ended the night eating treats and watching the Pres. Monson movie. It was a great weekend! It was long but we had so much fun! I love that Brett is so excited to be a DAD! It makes me so happy that he's as excited as I am for children and we can't wait till this little boy is here! Only ten more weeks and Brett will be the best dad ever! I can't wait to watch him with our children, he loves children, he's always with them. I'm so blessed to have him in my life! I'm so grateful for all he does for our little family! I hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day Weekend!
